Kinda dawned on me that I haven’t been blogging for a long, long time. School work is just keeping me down, and Tumblr seems like a perfect substitute. Reblogging pictures that are actually “words”. Easy as ABC, or maybe even easier. It is week 15, which means yes, I am almost done with exams. But not yet, not till Wednesday. I should be studying, but here I am typing on Microsoft Word because there’s no internet on the bus. Just feel like pening down my thoughts before I lose them, again.

This semester is crazy fast. Actually Summer was crazy fast. Within 4 months of holidays, I have been to at least 10 camps, some of which I was a facilitator, some clan head, some crashie, some a dog (db training camp). Summer has changed so many things. It brought me closer to people who were my FIRST friends in SMU, by that I meant Jiawei Perng and Belinda Teo. We 1^st met at FTB2010, Incendia 3. Then we kinda broke contact when school started. Well, at least during my 1^st sem I still had Jiawei, thanks to RMSS. But the 2^nd sem wasn’t that great, we only met each other in week 6. But FTB changed everything. We were in DYQ and Scholars, and then all 4 runs of Vardar with Belinda. Gosh, I love these 2 girls. Although I didn’t see Belinda much during the 1^st two sems, but it was great working with her during FTB. It’s like all those memories just rushed back into my brain. I have an awesome hippocampus. And before I go all nostalgic, let me just go back on track again. Summer also caused me to drift away from the people I used to call FAMILY. Yes, you got it right, the dragonboaters. Sometimes I look back and think what things would be now if we were still as close. I still love all my friends there, but I love them because they are my friends, not just people who go through shit together, but I recognize them as people who have been there for a major part of my life. They have given me the best freshmen year I could ever ask for. However, we all move on. In different directions – SMUSA, SSU and what not; with the same friendship in our hearts.

Back to the focus, this sem. This sem is coming to an end, but I still feel like it is week 2 or week 3. It could be a sign that I am not studying hard enough, some of my friends say I look too chill for someone who is taking 5.5modules, TA, SMUSA and part DB. I would like to say I have good time management or actually NO management. The only praise I can sing for myself is that I am really consistent in updating my schedule book. Every class, meeting, training, meet up with friends, important reminders – you name it, I got it. I just like to think that my day is packed and I am not wasting time away. But like what Social Psychology teaches me, it is all about perceptions. That’s right.

Met BFF (Hann Khee) outside the gym so we went in for some pull ups session! The last time I did pull ups was like erm, weeks ago. Feeling the guilt now. Did some pull ups and I went to deposit money. Thank God for semi-awesome mum. Semi awesome cause she nags a lot, otherwise, she would be perfect. Oh wells.

Here with D2, who is going for his LAST PAPER 1pm. And yup, back to what I set out to blog. This sem, this sem, this sem. In 15 weeks I have been through so much, not so much with regard to school work, but friends and family, and love (or the lack of it). Maybe I will just focus on the recent weeks. These few weeks were (and still is) crazy, because it seems to me that my silly little heart has disobeyed me (again). Sigh, I will never be able to control it. It’s like it has a mind of its own. It just trails off wherever it thinks it can venture to. And when it returns back, all hurt and wrenched, it expects me to be able to take it back and heal it. With what, I would ask. With my mind? Or with all the tears I drown myself in? If someone can come up with a prescription for heartaches/ heartbreaks, that person would make it big. That person would be richer than Bill Gates. My prescription for heartaches is sleep. But it only works if you can sleep forever. So for now, I am still clueless about what I can do about my heart. Thought watching an emo film like One Day would help, but no, it didn’t. It just resulted in tears and very swollen eyes. Double sigh. I semi expect things to get better after the exams. When all the SMUSA activities kick in, I will be fine. I can spend all day burying my nose in SMUSA events, making Christmas cards, organizing parties. It wouldn’t entirely take my mind off things, but still, it helps a little.
